Services

Six services, each on its own terms.

Each service can be commissioned separately. Every engagement starts with a conversation and a written scope, so you know what you will receive, what it will take and how the result will be checked.

AdviceGood decisions

Learning and development advisory

Assess · Plan · Support

For schools, training centres and employers who want to know what their learners or staff can do now and what to work on next. The work connects a clear starting point, useful feedback, focused practice and a record that is revisited. It concerns learning and support needs, not the profiling of people.

You might ask

  • How do we find out what our students already understand?
  • How do we turn a level check into a term of practice and feedback?
  • What should a progress record hold, and who should see it?

What you could receive

  • An assessment and feedback plan
  • A structure for progress records
  • Guidance for practice and follow-up checks

A sensible first step

A conversation about one course, cohort or team, and what you would like to see improve.

AI advisory and evaluation

Decide · Try · Check

For organisations deciding whether, where and how to use AI. The aim is a decision you can explain: what the tool is for, how it was tried, what it got wrong and who checks its work. No tool is recommended by default, and no outcome is promised in advance.

You might ask

  • Which of our tasks would AI help with, and which should stay as they are?
  • A supplier says their model is accurate. How would we check?
  • What should our staff or students be allowed to use, and how?

What you could receive

  • A short options review
  • A scoped trial on your own material, with the results written up
  • Usage guidelines for a classroom or workplace

A sensible first step

Choose one task and one question. Try it on a small scale before deciding anything larger.

Technology consultancy

Review · Compare · Recommend

For organisations choosing, replacing or connecting systems. The work starts from what people need to do, then compares options with their costs, responsibilities and risks set out plainly.

You might ask

  • Are we using the right tools for this work?
  • Should we buy, build or adapt what we have?
  • What would a change cost us in time, money and upkeep?

What you could receive

  • A systems review
  • An options comparison
  • A short roadmap or a scoped trial

A sensible first step

A review of one process, from its first step to the report at the end.

SystemsUseful solutions

Software development

Build · Connect · Improve

Web applications, integrations and internal tools that connect records and reduce repetitive work, delivered in small, tested stages. Where AI is useful it is built in as a feature, such as an assistant, document search or an automated step, with clear points where a person reviews the result. Any equipment or licences are supplied only as part of an agreed project.

You might ask

  • Can these two systems share data without retyping?
  • Could a small tool replace this spreadsheet and the emails round it?
  • Can we add an assistant to our own documents, safely?

What you could receive

  • A working first version, tested with the people who will use it
  • Integrations and reports
  • Documentation and a handover

A sensible first step

A written scope for the smallest version that would be useful.

Research and data analysis

Design · Analyse · Report

For organisations and research groups with a question their data might answer. The work covers how to set up a fair comparison, how to analyse what you have and how to report it so that others can check it.

You might ask

  • Is this difference real, or an accident of how we measured it?
  • How should we design this evaluation before we collect anything?
  • Could a model help here, and how would we know it is good enough?

What you could receive

  • An evaluation or experiment design
  • An analysis with its method and limits stated
  • A report that separates what was found from what was assumed

A sensible first step

Share the question and a description of the data. Not the data itself.

Training and workshops

Explain · Practise · Review

Sessions in programming, computational thinking and using AI well, for students, teachers or staff. Each is scoped to the group and built around practice: people attempt the work, explain their reasoning and get feedback. PearlHelix does not offer a fixed programme or a qualification.

You might ask

  • Can you run a session on using AI sensibly for our teachers?
  • Our staff need to start programming. Where should they begin?
  • Could a workshop help our students get ready for a programming contest?

What you could receive

  • A session plan agreed beforehand
  • Materials and exercises to keep
  • A short note on what to practise next

A sensible first step

Tell us who the group is and what they should be able to do afterwards.

Our approach

How every engagement runs.

Start with a conversation and a clear purpose. Agree the scope, responsibilities and what to check before deciding whether to go further.

  1. Understand

We look at how people learn and work, what already helps and where they need support.

  2. Design

We agree a written plan: what to try, who it should help and how to judge the result.

  3. Build

We deliver a small, working first step and test it with the people who will use it.

  4. Improve

We review the results and feedback, refine what needs attention and agree the next step.

Let’s start with a conversation

What are you trying to improve?

Ask about a service, discuss an early idea or tell us what you want to improve. We can explain the options and agree whether a conversation, a review or a scoped project is the right next step.

Please don’t include student or personal records in a first email.
